It seems like handfuls of celebrities are dropping daily.
One recent celebrity death shocked the red carpet.
Joan Rivers passed away last Thursday, September 4, after being in an induced coma for about a week.
Rivers went to the doctor for a “diagnostic procedure” to figure out why her voice had become so raspy.
In the middle of the procedure, Rivers stopped breathing due to a vocal cord contraction.
“My life is so much fuller and happier because I got to share it with this beautiful, a true genius,” said close friend and fellow Fashion Police co-host Giuliana Rancic.
It’s safe to say this comedic icon shocked not only the red carpet, but American households.
Many people took to social media about this tragic event. Within minutes Rivers’ death was trending on Twitter.
Rivers made you laugh, but she was much more than just a sarcastic, crude comedian.
According to Kelly Osbourne, Rivers was “a teacher, therapist, closest friend, inspiration and grandmother I never knew.”
Whether you liked her or not, Rivers was a media icon who never failed to put a smile on your face.
