The Harrison Raider boys and girls basketball teams will be taking on Arsenal Tech tonight in another doubleheader at Harold May Gymnasium.
Although the games will be the main attraction tonight, there will be a special halftime show featuring the Indiana Pacers mascot Boomer.
The halftime extravaganza will be during the boys varsity game, which starts at 7 o’clock, and will be a little longer than your normal halftime.
It has been a few years since the fans of the Raiders have seen this blue creature, and he has been greatly missed.
Even though Boomer’s act is for young kids and some teens, his performance is enjoyed by all ages, even surprising parents about how entertaining he is, and how fun it is to watch some of the things he can do.
Boomer’s act normally consists of high-flying slam-dunks off of a large trampoline, which is not something you see every day around Harrison.
The last performance Boomer had here at HHS left an everlasting memory for young kids in the crowd, and he is hoping to do so tonight, no matter the amount of people in attendance.
