The Harrison Boy’s soccer team continue their dream run of a season with a win in the regional finals.
Harrison won against Hamilton Southeastern 2-1 with goals from Max Miller and Mohammed Ayad and an assist from Alex Webb.
This regional final win has been the narrowest win this tournament with next closest game being a win against Frankfort 7-1.
The raiders hope to copy lasts years run in a victory in semi-state to put them through to state where they can get a chance for redemption.
The team this year is looking stronger than ever and has a good chance of winning the semi-state final and going on to state.
“We’re really excited for semi-state,” said junior midfielder, Thys Call. “The game against Hamilton Southeastern was a tough one we got a few bumps and bruises but we will be back and ready for semi-state.”
Harrison plays Concord in the semi-state final on Saturday, October 22 at 12 pm.
Harrison stays undefeated with a record of 19-0-1 for this season while Concord sit at a record of 16-3-1.
“Our goal from the beginning of the season is to go to state,” said Call. “Every team from here on out is a really good team. There is not going to be any easy moments, we can’t allow any slip-ups.”
Harrison looks forward to a tightly contested game Saturday with hopes of moving on to state.
