As a way to honor the seniors of Harrison, the Harrison Pulse is doing a segment where we share a Q&A with 15 Raiders from the class of 2016. Each day we will be releasing another part of this series. Today's senior is Caroline Loftus:
What was your favorite class at Harrison?
AP Biology or AP Gov
Who influenced you the most throughout these four years?
My cat, Lil' Beyonce
Who was your middle school crush?
I don't think I was capable of higher-order cognitive processes then, much less actual emotions.
If you could change anything about the last four years what would it be?
I'd eat more macaroni and cheese
What would you tell your freshman self now?
What is the worst fashion trend you participated in?
Silly Bandz in 7th grade
Describe your worst date experience.
My boyfriend ate 10 jumbo pasta shells the first time he came over for dinner, and all I could do was watch in horror while my parents offered him more and more pasta.
What is your favorite food that is served at lunch?
There's a reason I bring my lunch every day
What is your favorite memory from Harrison?
I went to England with the band last year over spring break.
Who is your favorite teacher and why?
Mr. Klumpe, because I want to get an A in BC Calculus. But really, he's very good at teaching those maths. I can really understand math now.
What was your most challenging class/who was your most challenging teacher at Harrison, and how have they shaped your experience here at Harrison?
AP Physics C: Mechanics was my hardest class because it had math I didn't know yet, and I am bad at physics. It shaped my Harrison experience by showing me that I don't like physics, and I'm bad at it.
What are your plans after high school?
I plan on going to Grinnell College in Iowa to study biology.
