Senior Salute: Rosalie Stanley

Senior Salute: Rosalie Stanley

Sam Arvin

As a way to honor the seniors of Harrison, the Harrison Pulse is doing a segment where we share a Q&A with 15 Raiders from the class of 2016. Each day we will be releasing another part of this series. Today's senior is Rosalie Stanley:

What was your favorite class at Harrison?

My favorite class at Harrison was probably physics with Mr. Smiley. It was the hardest class I have ever taken and I don't think I have ever been more challenged in my life. It was fun and it really tested my ability to work hard but, it was a great time in his classroom.

Who influenced you the most throughout these four years?

The person who has influenced me the most throughout these four years would be the one and only Miss Nimmer. She is an incredible individual who knew when something was wrong without having the ability to see it. When I was stressed, I used to always go and talk to Miss Nimmer. Her presence was so calming and really, she is a very intelligent and goofy person so our conversations were always the best!

Who was your middle school crush?

My middle school crush was Evan Francis.

If you could change anything about the last four years what would it be?

To be completely honest, I would not change anything. These past four years have been completely perfect. But, if I had to change something, I most likely would have continued with singing in choir.

What would you tell your freshman self now?

I would tell my freshman self now not to worry. Things will turnout the way they are supposed to turn out and that every thing will be okay. I would tell myself to remember to live in the moment because sometimes the moment moves fast and missing it would be really unfortunate.

What is the worst fashion trend you participated in?

I did the whole long colorful sock thing ALL the time. It was like a competition of who could have the BEST long colorful socks.  Looking back, I'm kind of  embarrassed. "What was I thinking?"

Describe your worst date experience.

I actually have not had a "worst date experience." With my luck, that'll most likely happen in college.

What is your favorite food that is served at lunch?

My favorite food that is served at lunch would be the sweet and sour chicken! I always get excited when It is served.

What is your favorite memory from Harrison?

My favorite memory from Harrison was probably when Patrick and I were called onstage for the prom court. In that moment, so many people were screaming and it was complete bliss. It was just amazing to have my friends support and to know that I am liked.

Who is your favorite teacher and why?

Mrs. Mansilla is definitely my favorite teacher. She is just SO enthusiastic that she practically makes every thing better. I can always count on learning something in her class and know that my day will be brighter .
