Senior Athlete Salute: Eileen Callahan

Sam Arvin

As a way to honor the senior athletes of Harrison, the Harrison Pulse is doing a segment where we share a Q&A with selected Raider athletes from the class of 2017. Each day we will be releasing another part of this series. Today's senior athlete is Eileen Callahan:

What was your favorite class at Harrison?

Physics because the demonstrations were cool and all the information was new. It was really cool and interesting, plus easy to pay attention to.

Who was your middle school crush

I did not go to middle school in the area, but I liked Jeff Brennan.

If you could change anything about the last four years, what would it be?

I wish I had understood as a freshman how to study, because I didn’t truly learn how to study until junior year.

What would you tell your freshman self now?

Don’t date Jeff

What is your favorite TV show?

The Office

What song describes your high school experience?

"Don’t Cha" by the Pussycat Dolls

Describe your worst date experience.

I thought my boyfriend was going to tell me he loved me but he broke up with me.

What is your favorite memory from Harrison?

When Holly Weilbaker got the nickname Big Chug

Who is your favorite teacher and why?

Mr. Smiley because he’s a good person and has good storytimes

What will you miss about high school?

The conveniences of living with my parents

What do you plan on doing after high school?

Go to Purdue

What is your favorite pre-game song?

The Show Goes On

What is the most embarrassing moment that happened in a game or practice?

We had to go to the bathroom so we tried to hop over a waist-high fence. All my friends got over just fine but I caught on it and my shorts ripped right down the buttcrack. It was at a boys’ lacrosse game and one of the moms yelled at them to help me because I was stuck on the fence.

What is your favorite moment from the last four years playing your sport?

The first time we won a game because we played a whole year without winning. Second year we won our first game. None of us knew how to play before and we worked so hard to win.
